Nixon Collection Launch @ 7th High

Nixon launched a collection of watches, audio devices and accessories that completely expresses carefree and effortless statement on individuality and style. But funky fashion aside, the launch also played host to delicious hors d’oeuvres flowing through the room while DJ Mars Miranda was spinning some top 40 tunes. Afterwards, people were given the chance to win their very own products by doing trivia about Nixon and participating in a Twitter contest.

The cherry on top of the event was a grand toast where everybody (including yours truly) downed a shot of tequila to welcome in the dawn of a new era in Manila’s urban style.

Nixon’s Philippine introductory collection will be available all around the Metro, in stores like Billabong, Aloha Boardsports, Five-0 Skate Shop, Segnatempo, and Watch Republic. Whatcha waiting for? The race is on bros!–WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

Remy Martin presents the ‘Centaur Dance Showdown 2012

Remy Martin in a recent high profile event held at The Main Club of Seventh High, formally launched the Center Dance Showdown. Staged for the first time in the Philippines, this prestigious dance competition has twenty three (23) of the country’s finest dance crews competing, and will be the main battleground for the honor and distinction of representing the country in the Asian Regional Finals of the Centaur Dance Showdown in Singapore in January 2013.
In the press launch and elimination round ably hosted by the lovely Carla Dunareanu and the dashing Josh Bautista, top Remy Cointreau International executives— Evan Seah and Laurent Soulat especially flew-in to Manila to attend the competition and were wowed and impressed by what the Philippines dance crews had to offer.
As opined by a visibly excited Mr. Evan Seah, “Impressive, impressive! Filipinos are probably one of the best dancers in the world!”
Laurent Soulat added, “The level of competitiveness shown by the Filipino dance crews is simply incredible! Looks like the Philippines is really out to win this competition. I look forward to seeing them strut their stuff in the Singapore.”
Out of the twenty three (23) dance crews competing in the elimination round, eight (8) finalists were chosen and will again compete in the Philippine Finals on October 18, 2012 for the title of Best Dance Crew. They will in turn officially represent the country in Singapore for the Asian Regional Finals where they will be vying for the top prize of US$10,000.

A power-belter star rises at Seventh High as they launched their latest regular performer, Philippine Diva, Bituin Escalante.
Bituin proved her name being one of the country’s best female singers when she received the grand prize award during the 2002 Himig Handog Music Love Song Festival for the song
“Kung Ako Na Lang Sana”. Since then, she has been well-known as a world-class singer and theater actress.
Her stardom is never out of reach as she has always kept connected with her fans through one-of-a-kind gigs.
As a true testament, Seventh High now features her exceptional talent every TIMEOUT TUESDAY at the APEX Lounge. Seventh HIGH, best-known in the nightlife circuit for hosting the hottest fly-in DJs has brought-in yet another must-watch international act last October 5, 2012 namely, MSSL CMMND.
MSSL CMMND is the collaboration of N*E*R*D’s mega-producer Chad Hugo and Baltimore-based DJ Daniel Biltmore. Their unique sound is the modern mix of hiphop, rock, soul, and electro music. They have spun in the decks of New York (NYC Fashion Week), Toronto (Toronto International Film Festival), Los Angeles (Coachella), Paris, Lisbon, and London, to name a few.
MSSL CMMND, as the latest addition to Seventh HIGH’s roster of fly-in DJs, brought the house down as spectators were showered by the duo’s blow by blow mashups including some of their music from the Fool’s Gold label. On Friday, October 5, Seventh HIGH in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig is set to bring the house down with CMMND, live!

With their unique mix of rock, soul, and hip hop, MSSL CMMND, composed of Chad Hugo and Daniel Biltmore, has toured the globe, hitting the decks in New York (NYC Fashion Week), Toronto (Toronto International Film Festival), Los Angeles (Coachella), Paris, Lisbon, London, among others. The duo has also joined other electro heavyweights Skrillex, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Avicii, and more as part of the Identity Festival, the first all-electronic music festival in North America.

Hugo, who is most remembered as one half of the Neptunes (working with Pharrell Williams)
and one third of N.E.R.D., has garnered multiple Grammys, sold millions of records, and has
received worldwide acclaim (heralded in 2009 as Producers of the Decade by Billboard
Magazine, alongside Williams).

He has since explored new horizons and joined forces with up-and-coming Baltimore-based DJ Daniel Biltmore, performing for some of the biggest names in music, namely Daft Punk, The Black Keys, and De La Soul.
